Spring 2013 sees a unique musical spectacle bringing together the sublime voice of the foxy queen of metal TARJA TURUNEN, and the voracious drumming skills which have earned the gutsy American MIKE TERRANA a place in the Guinness Book of Records. Add to that the consummate music-making of ZlÍn's Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic directed from the podium by the orchestra's guest conductor Walter Attanasi - one of the most interesting and versatile conductors of his generation. Then, for good measure, bring in Brno's Masaryk University Choir and its Director Michal Vajda, and you have a unique concept appropriately named BEAUTY AND THE BEAT!

This unparalleled fusion of heavy-metal icons and symphony orchestra hits the spot, and you can see Tarja and Mike here in the Czech Republic in this brand-new show no less than four times!

Unbelievable but true! The phenomenal heavy-metal duo of TARJA TURUNEN and MIKE TERRANA with their musical extravaganza "Beauty and The Beat", carried along by the musical mastery of Zlín's Bohuslav Martinu Philharmonic Orchestra completely sold out two appearances at the Zlin Congress Centre! When the original 6th April performance sold out fast, the promoters Pragokoncert added a second date in Zlín on 4th April. Such was the demand, however, that even this second gig in Zlín SOLD OUT almost three months ahead. Given the continuing demand, Pragokoncert and the artists' agents agreed to put on a third and final show in Zlín at 20.00 hours on 5th April, again at the Congress Centre. Then on 7th April Tarja and Mike will be performing at the Congress Centre in PRAGUE!

Tarja, Mike, the orchestra and the singers will be perfoming numbers from some of the best classical music and musicals, as well as rock hits by world-famous bands such as Queen and Led Zeppelin, and Tarja's own work, not to mention numbers by NIGHTWISH - Tarja's first major band, which she headed up for several years.
