ROLANDO VILLAZÓN TO PERFORM IN ZLÍN
The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra presents a truly exceptional cultural event on 5th November 2024 when it hosts the Mexican tenor Rolando Villazón, one of the most highly acclaimedand brilliant stars of the current opera world, at the Congress Centre in Zlín. The superstar singer, who has been giving outstanding performances for several decades at the world’s most prestigious venues, has invited the American Kate Lindsey, another major figure in the opera world, to join him for his concert in Zlín. This outstanding mezzo-soprano has been captivating audiences in leading opera houses such as New York’s Metropolitan Opera, La Scala in Milan, the Vienna State Opera, and Barcelona’s Gran Teatre del Liceu. The two stars, conducted by Guerassim Voronkov and accompanied by the Orchestra, will perform a fascinating selection of operatic arias and duets from the work of Rossini, Offenbach, Bizet and Massenet.
