The Talentinum international festival for young concert artists provides promising artists with regular opportunities to play with an orchestra and thus gain invaluable experience and demonstrate to the world their performing expertise. The festival was first staged in May 1972 in what was then Gottwaldov and has since established a firm and integral place for itself on the local cultural scene. In the fifty years of its existence it has played host to a whole series of outstanding musicians, and May 2022 marks its 26th season.

Our final Subscription Series A concert is thus given over to talented young musicians, beginning with Roxana Hädler, the accomplished harpist who hails from Deggendorf in Bavaria. In addition to her busy schedule of solo engagements, she has performed with the Czech Philharmonic, the PKF-Prague Philharmonia, the Czech National Symphony Orchestra and Berlin's Junge Sinfonie. Tonight she plays Reinhold Glière's remarkable concerto for harp and orchestra, accompanied by the Zlín Philharmonic.

The next artist to take the podium is Anna Sysová, a laureate of many performing awards including the Oleg Podgorný Prize for the most successful and youngest participant in the Prague Spring Competition. She will play Aaron Copland's Concerto for clarinet, strings and harp.

The last soloist of the evening is the violinist David Hernych, aged 17, whose credentials include outright winner of the final year of the prestigious Václav Hudeček Academy in Luhačovice. He will play Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto.

At the podium for this concert is the Polish conductor Martyna Zych, who has collaborated with, among others, the the Subcarpathian Philharmonic in Rzeszów and the Polish Radio Symphony Orchestra.
