The XXVIII. International Festival of Young Concert Artists Talentinum 2026
The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra Zlín is holding the XXVIII. International Festival of Young Concert Artists Talentinum 2026
Talentinum, the International festival of young concert artists, is a festival of young talents who are going to start their careers as professional musicians. The first year of the festival was held in 1972. Every two years in the spring months it is traditionally part of the music life of the town of Zlín and of the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic Orchestra as well. Talentinum sets itself the aim to help young concert artists at the beginning of their musical careers. It often becomes a stepping stone to their further successful careers. Jana Jonášová, Bohuslav Matoušek, Igor Andrašev, Václav Hudeček, Vadim Repin and other artists have taken part in the festival in the past years. These and other festival participants are today among reputable and popular artists. Besides solo players, there are also regular performances of chamber groups and some orchestras. The festival is also for young conductors. Well-known conductors of today like Stanislav Macura, Petr Vronský, Hynek Farkač, Leoš Svárovský, Tomáš Netopil, Jakub Hrůša etc. appeared in Zlín at the beginning of their professional careers. Nowadays the organizers are trying to aim the concerts more at young audience and to bring them also to other Moravian towns such as Uherské Hradiště, Olomouc, Kroměříž, Luhačovice, Vsetín, Bystřice pod Hostýnem and Šumperk.
