Three great musicians and a lover of the chanson come together to create a unique musical formation - the Chanson Trio CouCou, where they gently carry us away to the magical world of the streets of Paris in the last century with its romantic waterfronts, famous wine bars and bawdy cabarets. Their concerts generate a lively atmosphere and sparkle between performers and audience, with each song brimming with passion and a touch of humour, making for an unforgettable musical experience. The catchy melodies, playful lyrics and infectious rhythms make Trio CouCou unique as they ring the changes with the tempo and mood of the songs from poetic to exuberant to sad, keeping the audience buzzing with enthusiasm.

The basis of the band's concert repertoire is original work combining elements of classical music, chanson and jazz, often inspired by the writing of the cursed poets. The band balance these with their own arrangements of well-known and lesser-known French chansons and golden oldies, with distinctive interpretations paying tribute to immortal legends such as Édith Piaf and Jacques Brel.

Taking us through the programme is the charming vocalist Radka Rubešová, with original numbers and his own arrangements coming from the pen of bandleader Martin Kudrna, one of our prominent younger musicians, who also shows his mastery of the piano and accordion. The CouCou Trio is complemented by the outstanding violinist Zdeněk Häckl and the sensational double bass player Petr Pavíček, so each performance is a great display of their musical talent and a treat for the audience.
