Our concert in November presents the greatest hits by Petr Novák, the Czechoslovak pop music legend of the 60s-80s, whose timeless songs, distinctive voice and unmistakable delivery are as valid today as they were 50 years ago. The Orchestra accompanies Petr Bende, a prominent figure on the Czech music scene in recent years.
The idea of celebrating and reviving Petr Novák’s unforgettable music had been in Petr Bende's mind for several years to serve as a tribute to these iconic songs and a gentle pointer for future generations, coupled with a deep respect for Novák's legacy and a desire to be part of it. Sharing a similar outlook on life and a love of music, Petr Bende is an unrivalled performer who feels the sensitivity of Novák's songs and puts them across to his audiences with extraordinary depth and feeling.
