This concert interweaving pop music from around the world with classical music promises to be a real humdinger! The violinist Marco Čaňo and the band Cover Paradise, founded in 2017, will be performing cover versions of well-known numbers by David Guett, Ed Sheeran, Michael Jackson, Ariana Grande, Avicii, Rihanna, Adele, Billie Eilish and Clean Bandit. Their rendering of contemporary pop songs are becoming inter-generational hits grounded in music based on professional foundations. Their first cover Symphony had over 450,000 viewings on YouTube from all over the world. In 2018 they released their debut album Cover Paradise'.

Violinist Marco Čaňo comes from Moravia and almost inevitably draws the inspiration for his work from Moravian folklore. His aspiration to make music a central part of his life began when he was given a violin as a young boy. From the age of 13 he studied regularly with Václav Hudeček at his Summer Academy in Luhačovice, and since then he has never put the instrument down. He continued to broaden his musical skills in solo recitals and also by busking, which he tried in his teens. While still studying at the Academy of Performing Arts in Prague, he gave concerts on the international stage with the Czech Philharmonic and the Czech National Symphony Orchestra, gaining further inspiration from Maestros with a capital M such as Jiří Bělohlávek, Semyon Bychkov, Ennio Morricone, Hans Zimmer and Danny Elfman in top-ranking concert venues such as Carnegie Hall, Madison Square Garden, and Suntory Hall. This was all wonderful and inspirational, but he nonetheless decided to forge his own path which meant starting from new beginnings. In addition to playing with Cover Paradise, Marco Čaňo also performs with the De Facto string quartet, with whom he reached the final round of the German show Das Supertalent.

Also appearing as soloist is Tereza Mašková, winner of the 2018 SuperStar show, who is mostly into the pop and funk genre. The Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic is conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki, who appears regularly with leading orchestras here and in Slovakia.
